Buy Local Food : As an ‘everything in moderation’ kind of guy, I’d find a strict local food diet fascinating but obsessive and intimidating, says Peter Marks, program coordinator for the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project in Asheville, N.C. He suggests a more gradual approach: Every week or month, replace one food in your diet that’s provided by a big, faraway company with a locally grown food.

11ozchili powder, can, fine ground, light
1tablespooncayenne pepper
2tablespoonpepper
4tablespoongarlic, powder
1/2cuplemon, juice

Directions:

Thoroughly coat all surfaces of the meat with lemon juice, and rub in well. Combine all of the dry ingredients in a bowl, and sprinkle generously all over the meat, rubbing in well. Make sure that the meat is entirely covered. Store leftover rub in a tightly sealed container in the 'fridge.
