Food tips

Buy Local Food : Begin by taking baby steps, such as committing to spend £10 pounds a week on locally grown foods.

Buy Local Food : Bringing more local produce into your kitchen may leave you wondering what to do with unusual things such as Jerusalem artichokes, kohlrabi or mizuna. “I get requests all the time from CSAs asking permission to put my recipes into their delivery boxes,” Madison says. “I always say yes.” Get a good produce-based cookbook and don’t be reluctant to ask for recipe ideas from growers.

Losing weight

Low calorie diet

Rather obviously, the low calorie diet is based on the fact that if you want to diet successfully, then you have to take in fewer calories than you burn up.

So what is a calorie?
The calorie is the standard unit for energy measurement in dieting. The food calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree centigrade at atmospheric pressure. If a food type contains more calories, then it will gives you more energy to use when consumed.

Foods low in calories include cabbage, watercress, melon, steak and burger based meals, and eggs.
