The low-cal diet

Put simply, the low calorie diet is based on the fact that if you are going to diet successfully, then you have to consume fewer calories than you actually use.

Definition of a calorie?
The calorie is the unit used for measuring the amount of energy in food. The calorie is the the energy required to increase the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree centigrade at normal atmospheric pressure. If something contains more calories, then it will gives you a larger amount of energy when eaten.

Foods low in calories include green beans, capsicum pepper, apricots, meals containing beef, and eggs.

15 oz Soft tofu

6 tb Yogurt;plain, nonfat

-vegans could use soya milk -yogurt 3 tb Vinegar

2 ts Dijon mustard

1 Garlic clove

-Granulated sugar substitute -to equal 1 tsp sugar, opt. 1/2 ts -Salt

2 tb Vegetable oil

Use whenever regular mayonnaise is called for. In food processor, combine all ingredients except for oil until smooth. with motor running, slowly drizzle oil through feed tube until mixture is creamy. Refrigerate in covered container. Mixture thickens when chilled. MAKES: 2 cups
